BARCELONA FC

FC Barcelona is one of the best teams in European football. Without watching a Barcelona football game in Spain, your trip will definitely be incomplete. I remember my first game, walking into Camp Nou, the biggest stadium in Europe; I was in loss of words! It was huge and full of excited fans cheering out to their favorite team. It amazes me how loyal Barcelona fans are to their team. The energy and the passion for Barcelona just gave me such a sensational feeling.

The process of getting a ticket was very easy and not pricey at all. Our seats were not front row seats, but the view from any seat in the Camp Nou stadium is breathtaking. We bought our tickets from the FC Barcelona website and then later went to the ticket gate to pick them up. I was so excited to see FC Barcelona that I couldn’t find the gate where our seats were! Because Camp Nou was so big, we found ourselves walking around the whole stadium to find our gate number, which was at the end! When we finally found it, we grabbed a hot dog and a couple of beers, and enjoyed the game. During the Barcelona futbol game, we learned all of the Barca chants and began cheering along! FC Barcelona is really an amazing and undefeatable team, and it shows with the amount of loyalty that the fans hold for them.

Watching FC Barcelona live is an amazing experience, even if you’re not into soccer/ football. It is good for a night out with friends, a date and even a family outing. You will always be satisfied with seeing the famous Lionel Messi, David Villa, and Gerard Piqué show their talent in the FC Barcelona stadium. Who knows, you might even see Shakira at one of the games; she is always there to cheer for Piqué! I was lucky enough to be at a game with her presence; however I did not know she was there until the next day! After the Barcelona football game, I highly recommend going to plaça catalunya and celebrate with the locals. You will be amazed at what you will see; people will go wild! I guarantee you; it is an experience like no other.

You don’t know what to visit this weekend?? I propose you La Pedrera de CatalunyaCaixa

Barcelona is full of surprises. One second you could be walking on a normal street and the next you will come across something breath-taking. That has happened to me so many times since I have been here. Often times, I will see the most amazing buildings or parks that are undiscovered by many tourists. Honestly, when I first arrived here, I did not have much background on what to see, so I was unaware of many monuments, other than La Sagrada Familia and Las Ramblas. But not knowing and just coming across them on my journey just makes it even more exciting! One day, I was walking along Passeig de Gracia in Barcelona, Spain, enjoying the famous shops along the street until I came across the most interesting building. The architecture seemed so different and it was very eye-catching. I instantly thought that it was one of Gaudi’s works and I lost all my focus from shopping and into this unique architecture. We discovered that it was La Pedrera in Barcelona, also known as Casa Milà or Casa Gaudi.  The architecture of Gaudi in Barcelona is so unique and interesting; it is like no other.

Casa Gaudi was originally built as apartments; however with the unusual shapes of the rooms in the apartments, La Pedrera in Barcelona became a museum. I remember thinking that this particular building of Gaudi in Barcelona looked a bit surreal. Just the shape of it, makes it look like an unusual type of architecture. Inside the museum, there are two parts that include Gaudi’s architecture, the attic and the rooftop. Casa Gaudi includes Gaudi’s illustration in the attic and other parts of the building. La Pedrera in Barcelona was criticized many times of the non-linear design of the building and now it is considered as one of the best works of Gaudi in Barcelona. The best part about Casa Gaudi is going on the rooftop because every part of the architecture creates a surreal view. I remember looking from the rooftop and wondering if I was dreaming or not.

Today, one is able to enter the first floor for free but to visit the other floors and see the rooftop, there is a fee. But what I did to visit all of the famous museums and beautiful architecture in Barcelona was purchase the pass for only 26Euros. That allowed me to see La Pedrera, MNAC, Sagrada Familia, Picasso Museum, and more. Barcelona, Spain has such a great historical background that gave me a great appreciation for the city.

What is Web Marketing? Look here!

IN THE LAST TIMES YOU ALWAYS FEEL TALKING, WITH GREATER FREQUENCY, OF WEB MARKETING. A LOT OF COMPANIES DO USE OF WEB MARKETING. WHY??

WEB MARKETING COULD BE SEEN AS A KEY THROUGHT WHICH COMPANIES CAN CONNECT WITH THEIR CUSTOMERS. BUT NOT ONLY.  IT’S A WAY TO FIND NEW CUSTOMERS INTERESTED TO PRODUCTS AND SERVICED OFFERED BY COMPANIES.

WEB MARKETING COULD BE DEFINED LIKE THE SET OF TECHNIQUES, METHODOLOGIES AND TOOLS USED TO PROMOTE BRANDS, PRODUCTS AND SERVICES ONLINE. WEB MARKETING IS STRONGLY RELATED TO THE USE OF SOCIAL MEDIA, BLOGGING, E-MAILS, VIDEO ETC.

WHY IS WEB MARKETING USED MORE THAN WHAT WAS IN THE PAST?

THE ANSWER IS REALLY SIMPLE: PEOPLE SPEND A LOT OF TIME ONLINE, ON DIFFERENT WEB SITES AND THEY ARE ALWAYS MORE PUSHED TO DO ONLINE PURCHASING. IT IS SUFFICIENT TO THINK THAT PEOPLE WHO USE INTERNET IN THE WORLD ARE ABOUT 3,4 BILLION.

THIS IS A STRONG SIGNIFICATIVE DATA: THIS MEANS THAT MARKETERS HAVE A GOOD OPPORTUNITY TO REACH A BIG NUMBER OF CUSTOMER AND POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS. THIS ASPECT IS REALLY IMPORTANT BUT ANOTHER FEATURE THAT CANNOT BE UNDERSTIMATED, IS THAT COMPANIES MUST CHOOSE THE CORRECT STRATEGY TO PROMOT THEIR PRODUCTS/SERVICES. IT’S VERY IMPORTANT TO ADOPT THE CORRECT STRATEGY MIX, TO COMMUNICATE INFORMATION IN AN EFFECTIVE MANNER AND TO APPLY THE BEST PRACTICES.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF WEB MARKETING? THE FIRST ONE IS THE REDUCTION OF THE COSTS WITH REFERENCE TO ADVERTISING. IT ALLOWS TO CHOOSE DIFFERENT TYPES OF ADVERTISING AND AN EASY ROI (RETURN ON INVESTMENTS) MEASUREMENT. BUT NOT ONLY. THROUGH WEB MARKETING IT IS POSSIBLE TO CREATE CUSTOMERS’ TARGET WITH PRECISION ON THE BASIS OF DIFFERENT FEATURES (INTEREST, DEMOGRAPHY, ETC.)

SO, WHY DON’T START TO DO USE OF WEB MARKETING?

What is Erasmus? A brief explanation.

Erasmus programme is the EU’s flagship education and training programme for Higher Education students, teachers and institutions. It was introduced in 1987 with the aim of increasing student mobility within the European Community. Erasmus is a very popular student exchange programme. The scholarship was named after the Dutch philosopher Desiderius Erasmus of Rotterdam, known as an opponent of dogmatism, but at the same time, ERASMUS is a backronym meaning European Community Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students.

There are many more of facts and figures about Erasmus student exchange programme, start from the benefit that many employers highly value such a period abroad, which increases the students’ employability and job prospects. Through the statistics which show that there are currently more than 4,000 higher institutions participating in the programme (across the 31 countries involved in it), and that 2.2 million students have participated since Erasmus programme started. And last but not least how this great study abroad programme can enrich students’ lives (and not only in the professional field- after all nearly one in ten students find their life partner while doing their Erasmus programme! Yes, this is a fact, too!)

You might already heard a lot about the requirements of applying for this popular study abroad programme (to participate in the Erasmus Programme you must be studying for a degree or diploma at a tertiary-level institution and must have completed your first year), and even more about the professional benefits of an Erasmus scholarship (like the effect of improving language and intercultural skills for example), but what you should experience yourself is that the Erasmus student exchange programme is a lot of FUN!

Are you still asking me why try? The answer is easy: For many European students, the Erasmus Programme is their first time living and studying abroad, and there are many different reasons why they undertake it. Such as: to discover a different culture and gain an international perspective, to gain an international network of friends, to learn a range of life-skills not taught in the schools, to get independent and confident, or to stand out in the job market.

But where to go? Students who join the Erasmus Programme study or do an internship for a period of at least 3 months to an academic year in another European country. And Europe is such a diverse and exciting region – culturally, historically, politically and geographically. All the countries and institutions have something special to offer, that’s why it’s hard to choose. And fortunatly nobody expects it from you to only work and no play. So take advantage of your time abroad by immersing yourself in the local culture – the festivals, fetes, fiestas and parades. When you’re not at college, you can check out all that Europe has to offer. Laze on the beaches of Greece, ski in the Alps, go to the opera in Italy or admire the art in France.

Seen it, done it, been there? Then what about the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Slovakia, or a killer whale safari in Norway. Too scary? Well go further north and play golf at midnight in Iceland where the sun never sets in summer. Too cold? Then go to the very edge of Europe, to Istanbul, a city that bridges the cultures of East and West.

So, discover a different culture, make new friends from all over Europe, learn a foreign language and do something that will look great on your CV! Experience the Erasmus programme for yourself!

Erasmus?? I choose Barcelona!
